Sarah Moult, sister of Robert Wylde Moult married Josiah Townsend (d.1819) of Rotherham, Fairford & Ealand on 03 AUG 1779 at Wickersley
Josiah and Sarah were at Rotherham in 1797, by 1800 they were living in Ealand, Halifax, Yorkshire.
The probate of R. W. Moult details his nephews and nieces, probably children of Josiah and Sarah:
Will of Elizabeth Townsend of Bramley in the Parish of Braithwell County of York - Dated 31st August 1802
I give and Bequeath unto my sister Mary Townsend and her Assigns the sum of £140 upon Trust to put and place the same out at Interest upon such security or securities as her or they approve and is at the best rate of Interest that be had or be gotten for the same and as Interest Profit thereof shall be by her or them served upon further Trust to pay, apply and dispose of the same unto and to the use of my sister Sarah Parker for and during her natural life, to be paid by two equal half yearly payments, after the decease of my said sister Sarah Parker I give and bequeath the said principal sum of £140 unto my sister Amelia Shippam and my said sister Mary Townsend or to such of them as shall be living, in case of the death of either of them before my said sister Sarah Parker, it is my will that if both my said sisters Amelia and Mary shall happen to depart this life before my said sister Sarah Parker then I give and Bequeath the said sum of £140 unto my two Nephews John Chappell and John Street to be equally divided between them share and share alike when as they shall attain the age of 21.
I give and Bequeath unto my said Sister Amelia Shippam the sum of £80
I give and Bequeath unto my good friend Catherine Watkins Housekeeper to Mr Codlington? the sum of £10
Six months after my decease I give and Bequeath unto my two said Nephews John Chappell and John Street the sum of £15 a piece when they attain the age of 21
I give and Bequeath unto my said Sister Sarah Parker my Silver ware which belonged to my late Father and unto my said Sister Amelia Shippam my Silver Teapot
All the rest Residue and remainder of my Monies, Securities for Monies, Plate, Linen, China, Goods, Chattels, Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever which I shall be possessed of I give and Bequeath unto my said Sister Mary Townsend and her assigns for ever. And I so hereby nominate and appoint my said sister Mary Townsend Sole Executrix
