In 1891 John Thackray,Born 1838, aged 53,a Stone Quarry Labourer, from Brampton-en-le-Morthen and his wife Mary aged 50 (born Wickersley 1841), were living in Wickersley with children:
At this time Sarah Thackeray,age 14, was a Domestic Servant,living with Albert Street and family at the farm; George Thackray, age 17, was a Servant,living at Hannah Pearson's Farm. Looking at their ages, these two are probably children of John and Mary.
