John Parker, the son of Kenyon Parker by his first wife, married the heiress of Whitley Hall sometime between 1803 and 1810 sold the estate to Benjamin Hammond Esq. of Liverpool, at the death of his wife, Mary Hammond, it was bought by William Bingley, Esq. of Ellerslie Lodge, in the parish of Penistone.
John Parker died in 1829 aged 72 years, and was buried at Ecclesfield Parish Church where there is a Memorial to him.
