Frost of Wickersley and Braithwell

On 26 January, 1784, William Spencer of Bramley Grange and his trustees leased to to Jonathan Frost of Conisbrough, farmer, Flanderwell House and closes, all lying near Bramley. For 21 years at an annual rent of £84.

Jonathan FROST was born about 1771 at Conisbrough, he married in 1795 at Sheffield to Elizabeth BOWER who was born in 1770 at Sheffield, daughter of James Bower.

Children:

• Ann born 1799 at Wickersley
• Sarah Harriett born 1801 at Wickersley
• Thomas born 1803 at Braithwell
• Charlotte born 1806 at Braithwell. Married Francis Gale
• Selina born 1808 at Braithwell married Joseph Parkes(c.1810) at Handsworth on 17 October 1830
• Jonathan born 1809 at Braithwell

Francis and Charlotte Gale has a son Charles born 1827 at Braithwell.

Conisbrough

Samuel FROST born 1786 in Conisbrough, married Lydia Walker(b.1790 in ROTHERHAM). Children:

• Edward b. 1812 in Dalton Rotherham. married 1833 in Mexborough to Mary CHARLESWORTH(b.1815 in Denaby, Doncaster)
• Maria FROST b.1838 in Rotherham

Children of Edward and Mary (Nee Charlesworth) Frost, born Denaby:

• Emma b.1834. m. Isaac BEAUMONT(b.1831 in Darnall, Sheffield) in 1857 at Rotherham
• Harriett b.1835

Notes: Isaac was the son of William BEAUMONT(b.1801 in Wentworth, Rotherham) and Harriett BOLER(b.1806 in Tinsley). Is there a connection with the Beaumont family?

• Arthur b.1858
• Harriett b.1859
• Martha b.1861
• Mary A b.1862

In 1862 , a James Beevors and Hannah Frost were living at Bramley.
