Joseph Duckmanton, a Farmer and Milk Dealer, was born at Sandbeck Park Farm, Maltby in 1845, his father James was a farmer on the Sandbeck Estate. His wife Jane Ivy, was born in 1850 at Fishlake, Doncaster.
In 1881 they were living at The Brecks with their son Thomas, who was born in 1875 at Rotherham.
