William and Ann Bell of Austerfield had a son William Bell c. 27 JAN 1773 Austerfield Retired Bailiff married Hannah(nee Fogg) on 25 AUG 1795 at Everton, Nottingham. At some stage they lived at Everton, where their daughter Ann was born on 01 November 1799.
William and Hannah Bell have a plaque dedicated to them in St Albans Church.

William Bell (b1839) Quarry master married Sarah (b1828 Wickersley). In 1881 living at 16 Chapel Sq Worsbrough with son Tyas b.1869, Wickersley.
John Thomas Bell (b1841) was a Quarry Owner, born about 1841 in Wickersley, he married Ann Plant born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire in 1839.
Ann Plant was sister of Thomas Plant who married Esther Street.
In 1881 he was employing 6 men. There is no mention of his wife.
In 1891 he had 4 children living with him, all born in Wickersley:
Emily Sophia, married Arthur Edward Mottram, in 1901 she was living with her husband Arthur and children in Laughton-en-le-Morthen.
John Thomas and his wife Ann are buried in St Albans, Ann died 19/02/1915 and John died 23/01/1929.
Charles Bell,born 1843 was a Stone Quarry Mason, he was married to Martha born 1846 in Wickersley.
The 1881 census records a daughter Sarah, born in 1868 and son John born 1870. At some stage they lived at School Green, Wickersley.
The 1891 census lists seven children:
Their son John Bell b. abt 1871 was married in 1897 to Clara(second wife) Holmes b. 1878 at Whiston. In the 1901 census they were recorded as living at Brecks Cottages, Dalton, Rotherham. John was now a Quarry Owner.They had 3 children:

John, Clara and Mertyl may are all buried together in St Albans, Wickersley. John Bell Died 25/5/1943 aged 73. Clara Bell nee Holmes Died 8/2/1951 aged 74. Mertyl May Jennings nee Bell Died 6/5/1975 aged 64
Their son William born about 1887, died on 12/06/1918, age 31, while serving with the Royal Engineers. He is buried in St. Alban's churchyard.
