Death by Misadventure

 

Inquest into the death of Richard Thomas Shaw, Arthur Bullivant and Henry Patching, all of Wickersley

March 1937

Verdicts of "Death by misadventure" were returned at the inquest, held at Rotherham yesterday, on the bodies of Richard Thomas Shaw, 25 (motor driver), Arthur Bullivant, 22 (golf green keeper), and Harry Patching, 22 (colliery haulage hand), all of Wickersley, near Rotherham, who were killed when the car in which they were driving came into collision with a tramcar. Charles A. Whiteley, motor-coach proprietor, of Maltby, said that the car was his. He had given no one permission to take or move it.
