PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
1.00 p.m. - Procession to be marshalled.
1.30 p.m. - Procession leaves Airmount for the Show Field,
headed by Holmes Mills Band.
2.15 p.m. - Arrival at the Show Field.
2.15 p.m. - 3 - Unfurling of Flag by the Chairman (coun. K. C. Lodge). Singing by scholars of the Controlled
School. Judging of Fancy Dress and Tableaux.
3 - 5 p.m. - Childrens Sports. Punch and Judy Show at intervals.
4 p.m. - Tea for Old Folks and Widows. Modern Secondary School.
4.30 p.m. - Tea for children under school age. The Barn.
5 p.m. - Tea for schoolchildren. The Barn.
6 p.m. - Children muster for balloons.
6.30 p.m. - Balloons released.
6.45 p.m. - Comic Cricket Match.
8 30 - 10 p.m. - Scout activities, and Bonfire at dusk.
8.00-1 a.m. Coronation Dance. Modern Secondary School.
We remember amid all our festivities all those young parishioners who are away from home serving in Her Majesty’s Force,. They are ever in our prayers and thoughts.
We are obliged to the Rector and Parochial Church Council of Letwell with Firbeck for the hire of the Carnival Queens Coach. once the property of a Duchess of Portland.
